Cliff Cain

Founding the original Edelgas Group back in 2019, Cliff continued his passion for serving the end user markets in all things industrial or specialty gases. From consulting multiple helium exploration groups, developing green energy projects in Sub Saharan Markets to developing a global risk management program in industrial gases for a Fortune 100 company.

 

Cliff started his career in industrial gases over 8 years ago – he held multiple roles in bulk, specialty, and packaged gases. But also worked on M&A projects as well as a R&D hunter looking for the often-overlooked opportunities.

 

Born and raised in Missouri, Cliff has recently moved back to the state to raise his beautiful 2 year old daughter Evie with his wife.

Gregg Peters

Based in Chicago, Gregg was born and raised into the Industrial Gas sector starting off at a family-owned distributor.
 
In 2004, he began a six-year tenure as the Industrial Gas Marketing Director for Praxair Distribution Inc. Gregg set pricing strategies and led growth initiatives, including rapid commercialization of cutting-edge supply systems and a fuel gas product that mitigated the impact on customers during an extended shortage in propane supply. That experience became useful during the first helium shortage (1.0) in ’07-’08, and the cycles of analysis and strategy began for what became the following series of shortages.
 
In 2010, Gregg accepted the role as Helium Director, North America for Praxair Inc, responsible for business and client support of commercial, technical and supply aspects of the product during shortages. Gregg led efforts in pricing strategy, contract development, client portfolio and new market/product development. His strengths in cross functional leadership, including communications to line workers and C-suite, were central to the development and commercialization of new supply technologies and supply agreements.
 
He holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Valparaiso University and a Masters in Operations from Loyola University in Chicago.

Anish Kapadia

Chief Analytics Officer

Anish Kapadia has been involved in financial analysis and advice on the energy sector for around 20 years. Anish has recently worked for a range of upstream, integrated and LNG companies on financial strategy, modelling, capital raising, M&A and asset valuations. Founding AKAP Energy in 2017, he previously spent over 15 years in equity research at UBS and Tudor Pickering Holt.

 

Anish is one of the leading experts on the helium industry. The helium industry is a niche market with opaque data and one that suffers from a lack of detailed analysis. Anish has created a proprietary helium supply and demand balance and has completed a comprehensive analysis into helium pricing, where there is little easily accessible data given the lack of any relevant spot market and a paucity of published helium price benchmarks. 

 

He has regularly featured in mainstream press such as Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters and the Financial Times. As a well-known and respected analyst by senior management at the leading integrated oil companies, he has written in depth research on key companies, regions, NOCs, LNG and exploration. Also on diverse topics within energy such as Global shale, NOC strategies, US LNG and decline rates.
 

Peter Finan

Chief Legal Counsel

Based in New York, Peter is a dual qualified US-UK lawyer with almost 20 years’ international legal experience in the natural resources sector.
 
During this time, he spent time working in the Australian, Middle East and European offices of top-tier global law firms. In 2019 he left ‘big law’ to establish the US office of Serus Legal, a tech-driven law firm providing flexible legal services in the resources sector.
 
His experience and qualifications allow him to work easily across borders and he regularly contributes to US and international publications. He advises on project structuring, joint-ventures, and the preparation of contracts including offtake, royalty, earn-in, services, and EPC.
